I've been trying not to think about how far behind I am in blogging, but when I see how fast these have accumulated and how my last post was transferring these over...it is pretty obvious that it has been awhile. I'd wager to guess, though, that these posts are the most favored, so I doubt I will get many complaints! Enjoy...I did!
- (showing the boys a picture of Oliver's broken leg) M: "Look boys...Ollie is in the hospital with a broken leg. That was a bad choice to jump on each other wasn't it?" T: "Does he get a cast?" M: "Yep. His leg is broken." T: "(complaining grunt) why couldn't Kimberley jump on my leg? I want a cast." M: "No you don't. You can't play soccer, or run, or even walk very good with a cast." T: "Yeah, but I bet he gets a blue one and people will write on it. My legs are so boring!"
- E: "Mom, what is this?" M: "It's a penny...for your bank." E: "Look mom...Jesus is on my penny." M: "It looks like Jesus, doesn't it?" E: "Yes mom. (turning it over)...And look! My crib!"
- (Getting off the Dino Drop ride at Lagoon) T: "Mom...that ride made my private shake."
- (Trying on boxer briefs for the first time) G: "Mom, are you sure this is underwear, because it feels like shorts only a liiiitle tighter!"
- E: "Mom, when I am a fairy like Tinkerbell, the other fairies will hate me." M: "No they wouldn't...no one hates you baby." E: "But, they will talk mean to me like Tinkerbell." M: "If anyone talks mean to you, you just tell me okay?" E: "Are you going to be a fairy too mom?"
- (Sunday dinner conversation) E: "When I get small like a baby, then I will sit in the highchair like Scarlett." A: "You will not get smaller princess. You will get bigger, like mommy. And maybe one day you will have a baby who will sit in a highchair." E: "Yeah, dad. When I get bigger." A: "When you get married. Who do you think you are going to marry princess?" E: "You dad, when I get big enough." T: "You can't marry dad! He is, like, WAY TALLER." E: "I said I when I have a BIG DRESS! ...or maybe I'll just get small like a baby."
- (Driving to Back to School Night) M: "Kay guys. You are going to meet your new teachers...you need to not be shy alright? When they ask you questions, answer." T: "I know mom. I am not shy any more. I can answer questions." G: "I am never shy! Well...let's just say...if shyness was blood, I am like ONE DROP shy."
- T: "Can I have some water Mom?" M: "Sure buddy...get one out of the pantry." G: "Can I have one too Mom?" M: "Sure. Tristan, will you get Gavin one too?" T: "Yep...first I have to use the Priesthood Mom." M: "The priesthood? What are you talking about?" T: "I have to say a prayer mom...to make the water like the water in Heaven." G: "He means the Sacrament Mom." M: "Yeah, that's not how that works buddy. You have to be twelve to get the Priesthood and you have to learn a little bit more about the Sacrament (apparently a lot more :) )"
- (After a super short bath from the boys...) M: "Gavin, how come you guys are done with your bath already?" G: "I made sure to clean mom." M: "'kay, but I thought you like to chill in the bath." E: "I want to! I want to take a bath with Aunt Chill (Aunt 'chelle)!"
- E: (helping me make chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast) "Mom...I love chocolates." M: "I know you do baby." E: "Yes. I love pancakes mom. And chickens. And kah-chup. Not blood...kah-chup."
- T: (listening to music in the car) "Mom...I feel like I am dancing inside my body."
