As mentioned, the second part of Andrew's rite of passage into the next stage in life was true to tradition- the hunt. Some of you are saying, "THE hunt? What do you mean, THE hunt? He goes hunting all the time." Alright, you have a point- a hunt. Better? So three of the four men from the night before embarked off on a two day hunt: Andrew, Allister and Nathan (both from Canada). Andrew's job was to show them how exciting hunting can be and spread the obsession, if you will, and that he did. Bringing home a doe, his first animal of the bow hunting season, he earned his passage into "manhood." I call him- Runs with a Bow. Alright, so he is already a man, but you'd think he was a little boy for how excited he gets. If only hunting could be a career. In any case, he is officially ready for his next non-hunting endeavor (again, more to come.) Maybe a few more animals, though. At least this is one tag down!

GO ANDREW!!!!! So are you going to be having deer stew and deer hamburgers for a while?
Good for him! But....eeeewwwww. That dear carcass is kind of gross. I'm glad he got one though! Enjoy your deer jerky.
that is fabulous...one of my life goals...brace yourself it's gross, is to gut and skin an animal as big as myself, so next time he does that type of thing let me know so I can come over and watch!
Ya know what's great is that I get to go to your blog and see what my husband has been up to!!! :)
