Sick of Camping

Alright, the title was very misleading.  Actually, it would probably be impossible for our family to get sick of camping...but apparently it is very possible for our family to get sick WHILE camping.  Andrew decided a few weekends back to take the boys into the mountains for some fishing, camping and quality boy time.  While I wanted to go along, it was last minute and we were unprepared for sleeping overnight with all the kids (baby included), where gear and such was concerned.  I did, however, manage to convince him to let us girls come along for the evening- the plan being that we would leave just before dark and the boys would stay the night.

Yeah...after a quick stop to Cabelas, a short 20 minutes up American Fork canyon and not one hour into fishing, Tristan started complaining that his legs hurt.  Thinking he was being dramatic (as is his custom) we had him first tough it out, then rest in the car, and eventually sent him home in the car full of girls.  We got home and took his temperature, and sure enough...fever.  High fever.  He was in and out of fevers the rest of that night and into the next day.  Then there was Gavin.  Andrew tried to stay in the mountains with him, but weather took a turn for the worst (they were just not meant to camp that night turns out) and home they headed.  They caught a movie on the way home, and by the time they got there, it was past time for bed.  Gavin mentioned a headache, but we chalked that up to the late night, and sent him to bed.  The next day he started with the fevers and Emma followed suit a couple of days later.  Yuck!

Tristan thought his sickness was caused by the fishing, and it took some convincing for him to say he wanted to go again, but thankfully that all seems to be out of our systems! :)

The first few photos are courtesy of Emma while shopping in Cabelas.  I can't exactly get mad at her for stealing my phone/camera because she tends to get a few good shots that I never would have. :)
Poor little guy.  You can see he is trying to have fun, but just doesn't want to be there.
