Camped Out?

Not even close!  Having the head of the family being an avid hunter makes for some adventurous camping trips, and this trip was no exception.  Each year we go camping at least once, generally for the split purpose of camping and scouting area for hunting.  This year was no exception.  We generally go closer to May/June- this year it happened to be mid-August...but still.  In fact, we have taken each of the boys camping before they were four months old, and Emma has now followed suit.  Yes, a 4 hour drive, 8 total kids (we went with Blaine, Michelle, Allister, Maria and all applicable children), and 3 packed car loads all for 24 hours of camping... we did go.  (The men actually stayed a little longer to do some scouting, but not much.)

Although you may think so by appearance, we're not in Utah anymore Todo.
So- camping is pretty much camping right?  It is for us, as long as it includes:
Smores
Sleeping in a tent (I'll give you one guess who got ahold of the camera, and yes we really are asleep.  No  sort of staging it here.)
Archery lessons/practice
Walks/Hikes/Hunts
Rock Throwing (preferrably in water)
Mischeif/Mess Making
and a whole lot of happy.
As you can see, we accomplished the whole lot.  Now if daddy could have just brought home an Elk, perhaps we would see more of him this hunting season!  Maybe next time when he doesn't have so many distractions! :)

Wow you survived camping with 3 little munchkins! Good job. I especially love the pictures snapped by one of the boys
